About Me.
Hello! My name is Maddie and I'm a storyteller.

I've been creating fictional stories and looking at the world through the lens of "how can I share this with others?" for as long as I can remember. My first "film" was a fifteen-minute production called "Jake, Emily, and Eekie's Adventure", which was a recording of my nine-year-old self and friends running around my backyard spinning a tale of kids in a planet-traveling-treehouse saving an alien civilization from an evil overlord (cinematography courtesy of my mom). Since then, I've taken several high school and college film courses; produced short narrative films, documentaries, music videos, and various genres of commercial videos; and now I continue to study film independently.

I aim to tell stories that bring people joy and catharsis; I write stories to make people feel. I’ve been continually inspired by my friends and family. I’m fortunate enough to be surrounded by incredibly imaginative and creative people who share my love for art. Being in a community of like-minded people who support me has pushed me to keep creating and trying to better communicate my values.

As I continue to study the art of film, I plan to keep creating films of all kinds. I've had such a wide variety of opportunities when it comes to filmmaking and videography; I love getting the chance to try a whole new genre and learn more about what sets it apart from the rest. I also plan to produce a feature film with a hopeful release date of late 2024, along with a couple of other short films. My goal is to always keep learning and to meet other creative people wherever I can!
